Gene is my uncle and a fine man. I have a lot of great memories with Gene and my aunt Lucy at all the family gatherings together over the years. We worked many summers together on his farm. He taught me what farming and hard work was all about at a young age. I really looked up to Gene my whole life. In his later years he really enjoyed going to McDonalds to meet the guys and drink coffee and to share his stories with others. I had the privilege of attending some of those gatherings. I will miss Gene very much as I already do. Rest in peace as you reunite with Aunt Lucy. – Grant Grider
