Obituary of Mary Hardy

Mary Agnes Morton Hardy Nov. 22, 1946-Nov. 12, 2020 Beloved daughter of departed Elizabeth and Charles Morton; dear sister to brothers Bishop William Morton Sr. Sherman Morton and the late Ernest Morton; faithful and devoted wife to Odell Hardy, Sr.; dedicated mother to Timothy Hardy and Odell Hardy, Jr.; loving grandmother to Carrington and Trey; joyful friend to countless people while serving as a loyal minister in God's Kingdom. Mary attended and graduated from Woodford County Schools, as well Kentucky State University. She studied and practiced nursing in her early adulthood, but chose to be home with her sons for many years. Later, she worked for the State of Kentucky, through the Department of Vital Statistics. She worked joyfully and tirelessly serving God and others throughout her life and ministered to many around her, including her volunteer work through the Federal Prison Ministries Program. Everyone would agree that, throughout her life, Mary brought hope, love and light to those people with whom she interacted. Many people were touched by her kind ways and ministry. She never failed to show her gratitude for all of her many blessings. She lived a grateful life by humble example to others. Although she will be missed by those she left behind, we know she is at peace and right where she belongs... in her heavenly home! The family held private services on Friday, November 20th.
