I worked with Mr. Oberst in the Department of Corrections for several years. I was only around Mrs. Oberst a couple of times, but she was a delightful, gracious lady. My deepest sympathy to all the Oberst family. May God bless you and hold you in his arms through this difficult time.

Mrs. Oberst was a beautiful person and a lovely lady. She was the best "kool-aid" mom ever with her carpooling, scout-mothering, and other activities when all we "kids" attended Good Shepherd elementary. To the Oberst kids from the Betty Mitchell kids (Ceci, Dirk and Neil), we offer our condolences and fond memories.

I'll always remember Dorothy learned to play the piano after hearing Leon Redbone's cover of "Ain't Misbehaving." The album cover featured Michigan J Frog, the Warner Brothers cartoon character.

I send my deepest condolences to you & all the family. Dorothy was one of the truly most beautiful people I’ve ever known. She did just spread love, understanding & positivity. She will always have a place in my heart. I was so blessed to know her.

Heaven has gained an angel but the world lost an angel on earth when we lost Dottie. There aren't many people I can say that I TRULY enjoyed more than Miss Dot. I LOVED talking to her. You would never know what she was going to say next but you always knew it would make you smile. Each time we spoke and I left her company I felt blessed. So blessed to know someone like her. I truly adored her. My heart is broken for her family because there is no one whose light shined the way hers did. They loved her so much and looked after her constantly. It was easy to see that she was adored by them. I'm so saddened that I will never have one of our talks again. She will be missed though I know she lives on in the heart of so many. I will always remember her fondly and her spunky, loving spirit will be in my heart as I think back on moments we shared.
