I was deeply touched and saddened by the passing of my dear sorority sister. She was our 'Jan', and we loved her dearly. I was privileged to work with her on numerous committees and at conferences. She always had a smile for everyone, a helping hand for those who needed her, and a wealth of knowledge that she willingly shared. She loved Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, and we loved her too. I will miss her so very much. She will always have a special place in my heart.

Kristie and Mr. Powe,
I am so sorry for this devastating loss. I always enjoyed seeing Mrs. Powe, and delighted in her history and connection with my cousin Barbara Clayton from Chicago. I saw her last at the Links' 50th anniversary celebration. We have lost a beautiful soul. I am sending love and light to you.
Warmly,
Carita Anderson

My mother had candles everywhere and kept them lit all the time. Anything light, bright and full of warmth made her happy. Please light a candle in her memory, and keep the flame going. Thank you.
