Dear Kathy, Harry, and Family:
I am so saddened to read about the passing of your mother, Kay. She
was such a sweet, kind, and caring person.
We grew up together on Pickett Avenue and were good friends all
through High School. Although, we kind of lost contact after high school,
I always considered her a loyal friend.
I have such fond memories of Kay and her family. Wonderful parents
and a precious sister. Many times Mr. and Mrs. Choate would take us
to Fountain Ferry Park in Louisville, an amusement park. We had a ball
and the highlight of the trip was getting to go to White Castle and have
have hamburgers. Would you believe then they were only 12-14 cents?
Well, that was way before your time. But what a bargain! Also, enjoyed
many great times in her childhood home and Mrs. Choate would always
ask you to stay and eat. Yes, such wonderful memories.
Due to working the General Assembly, I will be unable to attend today,
but please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you now and in
the days ahead.
Your mom loved her family and would make any sacrifice for you.
What a tribute to her. She will be missed.
