Obituary of Lucile Marshall Yunt

Lucile Marshall Yunt, 87, passed away surrounded by her family and in the hands of the Jesus Christ Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the UK Medical Center after a brief illness.

Born September 18, 1930 in Frankfort to Llewellyn Bradley (L.B.) and Lucile Duncan Marshall, Lucile grew up in South Frankfort and attended Good Shepherd Grade and High School and was a member of the GSH Class of 1949.

Lucile married Chester Yunt in 1954 in Honolulu, Hawaii and returned to raise a family in Frankfort after her husband's discharge from the U.S. Navy. Lucile and Chester shared a 47-year love affair until his passing in 2001.

Lucile is survived by four sons, Tom (Marianne), David (Cheryl), Michael (Dixie), and Shaun (Tina); nine grandchildren (Lindsey, Ben, Nicole, Josh, Caitlyn, Chelsea, Meagan, Brianna, and Tanner); and six great-grandchildren (Harrison, Joe, Brantley, Halle, Jack-Albert, and Tucker). She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester; daughter, Cathy Bryan; son-in-law, David Bryan; brother, Llewellyn (L.B.) Bradley Marshall, Jr.; and sisters Mary Emily Taylor and Margaret Sullivan.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday June 3 at Rogers Funeral Home with a time of remembrance and sharing at 5:30. Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Monday, June 4 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.
