George and I were classmates at GHS. I met Suzie at UK in the College of Agriculture. George Sr was often at Moore's barber shop. The Hanrahan family were all wonderful people and very friendly. I was very sad to learn that George had passed away at such an early age. But am glad to learn he had a full and productive life.Will keep all of you in my prayers.

Great guy who I was fortunate to get to know and talk with regularly when he was working at LRC. He was very intelligent in general, but particularly knowledgeable about history, government, politics etc...and passionate about the latter.
Last, George was a good-decent person which we could certainly use more like him.

Having grown up with Pat Hanrahan and in the Good Shepherd school and church family, I felt like I knew George, too. I sure appreciated reading the letters to editors he wrote many times. I never disagreed with anything I ever read of George's.
