Obituary of Bobby Clark Rice
Bobby Clark Rice, 83, died at home Sunday, September 24, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
Bobby retired from the U.S. Air Force with 20 years of service in 1972. For the next 25 years, he established maintenance programs in several major companies including General Electric and the Capital Plaza Hotel.
Bobby and his wife, Juanita, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in December 2016. He was a loving family man who enjoyed spending time and making wonderful memories with his children and grandchildren. He will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Amy Rice, his grandson, Anthony Buie, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Smith Rice; his sister, Henrietta Stivers, 3 daughters, Chantal Rice (Wayne Waltz), Regina Dye (Gary) and Andrea Rice-Maddox (Eric Maddox); 5 grandchildren, Ernie Wilson, Rob Dye (Adrienne), Bonita Giles (Joshua), Nicole McHam and Savannah Rice-Maddox, 4 great-grandchildren, Taylor Giles, Evan Giles, Olivia McHam and Kiplynn Dye, and his faithful dog, Izzy.
In keeping with Bobby’s wishes, a private ceremony was held on September 27, 2017 at Rogers Funeral Home officiated by Brother Michael Napier. Bobby’s final resting place is in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
