Obituary of Sharon Grubbs

Sharon Lee Grubbs, 63, wife of Lois Grubbs, Jr., passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017.

Born in Frankfort on January 31, 1954, Sharon was the daughter of the late Richard Eugene and Ruby Mae McDonald Vaught. A graduate of Bridgeport Elementary School and Franklin County High School, she attended Kentucky State University and worked as a help desk analyst for state government. She volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and enjoyed gardening, reading, sewing, and spending time with her family.

Sharon is survived by a daughter, Carla Davis; a sister, Debbie Vaught Cox; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Michael Grubbs.
A memorial service will be held at Rogers Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Thursday with visitation preceding at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Ricky Simpson will officiate the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Sharon's memory be made to the Franklin County Humane Society.
