The obituary does mention "feisty" and "passionate" as characteristics of Diana. I would add "rapid fire repartee"; "mentally astute"; and she always remembered more quickly than I about any point we might have had, or more often, did not have in common about Harlan Town. Some few years ago at a class reunion in Lexington, Diana came to the piano to sing and play the school song; so, thinking she would be focused on her performance, I put in my few words of adoration not spoken to her since pre-teen: not a chance that I could prevail. Defeated in the game of words once more, I had to stand aside in awe and cordial admiration to enjoy her voice, beauty, brilliance, and did I mention red hair?
To her husband, children, grandchildren, and in-laws whom I do not know at all, and to her siblings whom I barely remember, I share your heart-felt sorrow at your loss of Diana.
Diana was special on Earth, and as the obituary stated that the angelic choir gained the addition of a gifted voice, I eagerly await the Hallelujah Chorus that brings comfort and joy to many and will do so once again, soon.
God bless Diana's family.
Peace, in remembrance, Whit Dupree

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Recently I lost my dear mother,
and found great comfort reading the Holy Bible, like at Isaiah 25
verse 8 - "The Sovereign Lord will swallow up death forever, and
wipe away the tears from all faces." Also at Revelation 21 verse 4
we find the promise that God will remove both pain and death.

Mrs. Looney was my sunday school teacher at Immanuel Baptist Church when I was in middle school. We gave her a baby shower for Adam( I think that is his name). She also had slumber parties at her house for us. She was such a loving and fun person. I am so sorry for your loss. My mother's name is Norma Barnes. Mr. Looney might recognize me from that. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you as you morn. I just wanted to tell you how wonderful I thought she was. Thank-you.
