Obituary of J.T. (Jack) Duncan

Jack Duncan, age 92, passed from this earth to his heavenly home on Saturday, December 26, 2015. He was currently living at the Thompson Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore, Ky., when he passed away.
He was predeceased by his wife, Laura Curry Duncan. He is survived by a brother, Gylspie Duncan, of Louisville, Ky. and two nephews and one niece. He is also survived by a brother-in-law, Isaac W. Curry and his wife, Jean Curry; as well as his niece Karen Watts and nephew Keith Curry.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Joe B. and Eddie Chism Duncan of Frankfort, Ky.
Jack was an avid U.K. basketball fan who also enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and knife collecting. He was a member and former deacon of the Highland Christian Church; a member of the Central Ky. Knife Club, V.F.W. Post #4075, Elks Lodge #530, American Legion Post #7, and a former member of the Juniper Hills Golf Association.
Jack was a veteran of World War II having served in the Army (AAA) Battalion stationed in the Pacific War Zone. He was a graduate of the Bald Knob High School and worked several years at the old Hub Clothing Store in Frankfort. He also worked for a brief time at the George Stagg Distillery and ended his working career by retiring from the Ky. Dept. of Highways.
Services will be held at Highland Christian Church at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday with visitation preceding at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Bagdad Cemetery with military honors. Dr. Scott Rollins and Dr. Glenn Birkett will officiate the services.
Pallbearers will be Donald Morse, Jr., Jim Pryor Morse, George Quire, Steve Duncan, and Adam Duncan.
