Obituary of Mary Redmon Presley

Mary Ellen Elizabeth Redmon Presley, 59, wife of Michael D. Presley, passed away Thursday morning at her home. Born in Frankfort on September 29, 1955, she was the daughter of the late John Jesse Redmon and Rachael Mae Aldridge Redmon. A graduate of Franklin County High School, Mary attended Capital Church of the Nazarene. Her loves were her boxer Jen, watching UK basketball, going fishing, and spending time with her grandkids and family. Along with her husband, Mary is survived by a daughter, Melissa G. Perkins; two sons, Michael P. Presley and Matthew A. Presley; a son-in-law, Chris Perkins; a daughter-in-law, Stephanie Presley; four sisters, Dorothy L. Clark, Roxie Moore, Bonnie Loy, and Sheila Bickers; six brothers, Steve, Jesse, Leon, Billy, John, and Jerry Redmon; and four grandchildren, Hailie Grace Perkins, Cydnie Brook Perkins, Nathan Riley Presley, and Clayton Michael Presley. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Crisp. Services will be held at Rogers Funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Saturday with burial following in the Frankfort Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday. In honor of Mary's love for the Wildcats, friends and family are encouraged to attend in their UK blue. Pallbearers will be Michael P. Presley, Chris Perkins, Joshua Clark, Matthew A. Presley, Steve Redmon, and Jesse Redmon. Honorary bearers will be Leon Redmon, Danny R. Clark, Jonathan Presley, Roger Luttrell, and Jason Clark. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Rogers Funeral Home to assist with burial expenses.
