We will miss you Uncle Bill and will forever cherish all the fond memories over the years. I remember you as a young kid sitting in that favorite chair not too far from the staircase bannister all us kids rode down so frequently making all that noise. I don't know how you put up with it. RIP

Dear Aunt Mary Ruth,
As a young boy, I can remember Uncle Bill as a quiet man. He drove green color Chevy Biscaynes in the sixties, with the stick on the steering column. His cars were always clean, like Granddaddy's cars. One time, Bill drove us out Mammoth Cave after supper, and I was riding between him and Granddaddy in the front seat. Granddaddy informed me that I was a 'buffer state' - a concept that was new to me at the time.
We are both sorry for your loss.
Love,
Randy & Shannon

Mary Ruth-
Mattie and I were saddened to learn about Bill's passing. I happened to notice it in the Courier-Journal this morning. We have fond memories from our time together in Cave City where Bill and I began our first year of teaching. It doesn't seem like it has been 59 years since that faculty outing at Mammoth Cave prior to the first day of school back in 1956..
The two years we taught together in the Caverna School District hold many fond memories for Mattie and I. Bill was a good friend and both of us probably achieved more than some expected.
We offer our sincere condolence and sympathy during this time in your life.
Byron & Mattie
