Obituary of Louis Dawers

Louis G. Dawers, Jr., of Frankfort, passed away on March 28 at age 86. Lou was born in Huntington, WV, but spent most of his childhood and young adult years in Louisville. He was a graduate of St. Xavier High School.
Lou was employed by the Kentucky National Guard for 32 years, was involved with numerous civic organizations, and was a longtime member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
Lou is survived by Ann, his wife of 54 years, and by his children, Nancye Dawers of New Orleans and Bill Dawers of Savannah. Lou had a large extended family and many good friends.
Visitation will be at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Frankfort at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the Frankfort Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Rogers Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
