Obituary of Wiliam "Billy Todd" Cheshire

William "Billy Todd" Cheshire, 90, husband of Agnes Jane Schroff Cheshire, passed away early Tuesday morning at his home. Services will be held at Rogers Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m Friday, followed by interment in the Frankfort Cemetery. Visitation will be at Rogers from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Born in Frankfort on February 10, 1924, he was the son of the late Cyril Hill and Sidney Crutcher Cheshire, and was preceded in death by his sisters, Martha Ann Cheshire and Patricia Cheshire Burton, and his brothers, C. Hill Cheshire and John C. Cheshire. Mr. Cheshire is survived by two daughters, Jane Cheshire Gilbert and Martha Cheshire Snyder; two sons, William Todd Cheshire, Jr. and Andrew Hill Cheshire; and four grandchildren. Mr. Cheshire was a 1942 graduate of Frankfort High School and an Army Air Force veteran of World War II. He graduated from the University of Kentucky School of Law in 1949 and was an attorney-at-law for the next 50 years, serving both as City Prosecutor and City Commissioner. Pallbearers will be Donald Yancey, Bill Cheshire, Jr., Andrew H. Cheshire, Kenneth M. Gilbert, John J. Snyder, Joe Crittenden, Donnie Mattingly, Fred Mattingly, William Todd Snyder, and Nicholas Andrew Cheshire. Honorary bearers will be Phil Williams, Julie Williams, Marvin Coles, Natalie Jayne Snyder, Sydney Lauren Cheshire, Lauren Cheshire, Jim Pierce, Jane Cheshire Gilbert, Christie Edwards, and Martha Cheshire Snyder.
