Edward "Pete" Lynch, 97, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2014, and will be buried in the Frankfort Cemetery. He was born May 28th 1917 in Frankfort, Kentucky, the son of the late Richard and Marcella Lynch. He was a World War II Veteran and graduated from the University of Kentucky upon his return from the war. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Angela Serafini Lynch and sons Richard and Christopher. Pete is survived by his son Edward Lynch, Jr. and wife Elizabeth of Scottsdale, Arizona; grandson Peter Lynch of Brooklyn, New York; granddaughter Jeannie and her husband Steve Lackner of Raleigh, North Carolina; and great granddaughters Isabella, Olivia and Anna. The family acknowledges its appreciation to Violet Albers for her years of caring for Pete. Pete worked for many years at Hillenmeyer Nurseries in Lexington and until recent years loved his flowers and working in his yard in Montrose Park. Pete was a long time member of Good Shepherd Church. Arrangements by Rogers Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm onTuesday, October 14th at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Mr. Lynch's memory be made to the Good Shepherd Church.
