Obituary of Carolyn Holder

Funeral services for Carolyn Lucille Goins Holder, 85, of Frankfort, will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 29, 2014 at Rogers Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Colston officiating. Burial will follow at the Frankfort Cemetery. A native of Frankfort, Carolyn was the youngest child born May 9, 1929 in Franklin County, KY to the late Henry Allen and Carrie Flynn Goins. She was retired from the Administrative Office of the Courts and was a life-long member of Memorial Baptist Church in Frankfort. Survivors include her daughters, Anne Lee and Donna (Steven) Veno, Frankfort; a son Michael Holder, Frankfort; grandchildren Michael Allen Lee and Ashton Marie Veno; nieces, Suzanne Nuttle, Florida; Joyce Cvetnich, Michigan and Dolly Paul, South Carolina; nephews, Buddy Coyle, California; Carl Holder, Louisville; Jerry Holder, West Virginia and Len Paul, Michigan. She is preceded in death by her former husband, John Lewis Holder; sisters Elizabeth Goins Coyle and Lillian Goins Phillipsand brother James Allen Goins. Robert Burch, Michael Lee, Frank Smith, Steven Veno, Daniel Vandergriff and Tim Young will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Lexington Affiliate, 324 N.
