Mrs. Horn was a fun person to be around. She was conducting a scientific demonstration when we were at Capitol Day School. We were all standing around the table filled with various stages of the demonstration. She joked with us and explained everything very carefully. We were all avid Coke a cola consumers. She had a raw piece of meat and she poured Coke a cola over it. It foamed and eventually began to dissolve the meat. We were horrified. We all wondered what the Coke a cola would do to our tummies. She had a great way of making her point with humor and a quick wit. She was a cherished and esteemed part of my life as a child and as an adult. We prayed together and laughed together. She will be greatly missed.
