Obituary of Danny Raisor

Danny Raisor, 54, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at his home. Born in Arizona on January 9, 1960, he was the son of the late Harvey and Billie Nell Richardson Raisor. A graduate of Owen County High School, Danny worked for Clipper Skateland, the Home Decorating Center, and Marshalls General Contractors. Danny was always the family handyman, and was always willing to help others. A hard worker who took great pride in his work, he was full of laughter, loved to joke, and enjoyed the outdoors. Danny is survived by a daughter, Andrea Brown; five sisters, Peggy Deese, Ann Quarles (Bob), Linda Smith (Henry), Barbara Wethington (Jerry), and Carolyn Sue Black; three brothers, Daid (Charlie) Raisor, Bobby Joe Raisor, and Gary Paul Raisor; and three grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harvey Raisor, Jr. and Ricky Ray Raisor. Services will be held in Rogers Funeral Home at 10:00 am Wednesday, followed by interment in the Monterey Cemetery. Visitation will be at Rogers from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday. Wade Calvert will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Michael Bramblett, Austin Raisor, Ray Jacobs, Billy Hall, Terry Renfrow, Kenny Turner, Keith Waits, and Clay Goins. Honorary bearers will be Jacob Fair, Mallory Cornish, Madison Cornish, Racheal Deese, Skylar Deese, and Katie Raisor. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Danny's memory be made to The Sunshine Center, 212 Steele Street.
