Obituary of Cathy Bryan

Cathy Lee Bryan, 56, of Frankfort, passed away peacefully in Thursday, March 6, 2014 in the UK Medical Center in Lexington. Cathy was born on April 2, 1957, to Lucile Marshall Yunt and the late Chester Yunt, and was also preceded in death by her husband, David Bryan. She attended Good Shepherd School through eighth grade and graduated from Franklin County High School, class of 1975. She was a loyal and life-long member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, and was retired from the Kentucky Department of Revenue. Cathy is survived by her daughter Nicole; son Josh; her mother; four brothers, her husband's family; and their extended families. Visitation will be held in Rogers Funeral Home on Monday, March 10th from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a Christian Prayer Vigil being held at 7:00 p.m. Afterward, family and friends will have an opportunity to pay tribute to and share special Cathy memories. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Good Shepherd Catholic Church at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11th, with Father Charles Howell presiding. Visitation will precede the service, beginning at the church at noon. Burial will follow the service in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Cathy's brothers, Tom, David, Michael, and Shaun Yunt; her nephew, Mike Hammond; and special family friend, Stilmon Richardson. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Cathy's memory may be made to Good Shepherd Church or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
