John Allen Wilson, 78, passed away Wednesday evening at his home. Born in Frankfort on October 29, 1934, he was the son of the late Allen Robert Wilson and Ella Carrier Wilson League. An Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was the owner of Wilson's Masonry and attended the Leestown Gospel Church. He cherished his family, adored children, and enjoyed spending time fishing. Mr. Wilson is survived by a son, John Wilson, Jr. (Tonya); three step-sons, Michael Sullivan, Rickey Black, and Steve Black; two step-daughters, Melissa McKinney and Angie Black; a sister, Virginia Jump; a brother, Jerry Wayne Wilson; three grandchildren, Hagen, Chevy, and Tru Wilson; and two step-grandchildren, Jason Green, Jr. and Alexis Byrd. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert Jr. Wilson and James William Wilson. Services will be held in Rogers Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Monday with burial following in the Frankfort Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. Sunday. Pallbearers will be David Wilson, Tony Wilson, Tommy Wiard, Rickey Byrd, Billy Byrd, Archie Harrod, Jason Green, Major Towles, Charlie Spencer, Billy Beleer, and Melvin Clark. Rev. Tim Jumpp will officiate the services. Flowers are welcomed, while the family requests donations toward funeral expenses be made to Rogers Funeral Home.
