Services for Lois Marie Perkins, 72, will be held in Rogers Funeral Home at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday.
Ms. Perkins, who passed away Wednesday afternoon in the Frankfort Regional Medical Center, will be buried in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg.
Born in Harrodsburg on May 30, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Walter Hopper Yates and Nancy Velma Yates Harris. She is survived by her only child, Lisa Charlene Johnson, and two grandsons, David Alan Johnson and Christopher David Johnson.
After graduating from the Eleventh Street School, Ms. Perkins attended Bowling Green High School and spent her life as a loving mother and homemaker. A member of the Peaks Mill Baptist Church, she wrote beautiful poems and music, enjoyed nature, and loved spending time with her dogs and her grandsons.
Pallbearers will be David A. Johnson and Trey Hannah.
The Rev. Ray Eastman will officiate the services.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Tuesday at Rogers.
