Obituary of Evan Kupchinsky

After a courageous battle against cancer, Evan M. Kupchinsky, born on October 21, 1982, age 41, passed away on July 26, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his father Gary L. Kupchinsky; step-mother Martie (Semones) Kupchinsky; step-sister Lashbrooke J. (Jeffries) Davidson and her husband Alex; aunts and uncles Linda and Phillip D. Schandel, Alvin (Buddy) and Sonya Semones, Rick and Regina Shields, and Rick and Kim Casey; as well as many cousins, associates, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother JoAnn Bonney, whom he lived with during her illness and was her sole caregiver.
Evan proudly completed his college degree through KCTCS. He was a faithful member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church and he especially enjoyed attending the men's fellowship weekend breakfasts. Evan also enjoyed family get togethers, biking, fine dining, hiking, hunting, kayaking, skateboarding, swimming, and many other outdoor activities, and was a hobbyist of radio controlled vehicles. His last days of work were in 2023 at the DHL operation, located in Frankfort, KY.
Services will be presented by Tom Troth, Pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church, and speaker Buddy Semones at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 31st at Rogers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 30th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Semones, Zachary Semones, Cole Semones, Alex Davidson, Spencer Harrod, and Jack Parkinson.
Honorary bearers will be Phil Schandel, David Davidson, Buddy Semones, Gatton Jeffries, and Johnny Sowards.
