Obituary of Helen Smith

Helen F. Smith, 89, died February 15, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. Helen was born January 5, 1935 in Franklin County to the late Paul and Dorothy Wright Smith. She was a graduate of Peaks Mill High School and a retired bookkeeper for Morris Realty and Auction Service. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church for over 78 years, where she served as Church Clerk, Treasurer, and member of the Women’s Missionary Union and Lydia Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her family - sister Paula Smith, Greg and Tina Howard, Kara Howard, Andrea (Howard) and Evan Karimian, and Barry and Barbara Wright.
Services will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Bethel Baptist Church, 8200 Owenton Road, Frankfort, with Rev. David Smith and Bro. Josh Rucker officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bruce Quarles, Archie Quarles, Roger Perkins, Doyle Glenn Rambo, Barry Wright, and Evan Karimian. Honorary bearers will be Ron Haines, Eddie Thompson, Ray Wilmoth, Charles Howard, and Wilbert Perkins.
