Obituary of Bobby Gene Burke

Bobby Gene Burke, 52 of Frankfort, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at UK Hospice Care after a short illness. Bobby attended Leestown Gospel Church and was a UK men's basketball fan. He was a bright, joyful soul and enjoyed spending time with his family. Bobby was born in Frankfort on September 21, 1971 to Linda G. Taulbee and Robert William Burke. He is survived by his father; his sons Brandon Burke, Joshua McCleskey, and Bobby Burke II; his sisters Mistie Burke, Emilie Burke, and Tina Hankins; nieces and nephews Isiah Burke, Zachary Hudson, layla Lennon, Kalyn Burke, Austin Kendall, and Bailey Lavy; great-niece Kaylie Hudson; and great-nephew Landon Hudson. He was preceded in death by his mother Linda G. Taulbee; grandparents Bobby G. Sams, Kathleen Conway, Lida Sams, Beulah Burke, and Homer L. Burke; aunts Donna Smith, Irene Sams, and Gypsy Sams; and uncle Stephen Sams, all of Frankfort. Visitation will be Thursday, December 7th from 11am until 1pm at Rogers Funeral Home with a service at 1pm Officiated by Rev. Tim Jumpp. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Brandon Burke, Joshua McCleskey, Bobby Burke II, Zachary Hudson, Isiah Burke and Trey Smith. Bobby Gene was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
