Dwain Lee Jones, 87, was taken into the arms of his loving Savior on September 27, 2023.
Born in Kansas City, Missouri on February 22, 1936, Dwain was the son of the late Sarah Elizabeth Bruner and Bruce Warren Jones. He was pastor of Chester Heights United Methodist Church in Richmond, Indiana and Mt. Comfort Methodist Church in Mt. Comfort, Indiana. His mission work led him to the mountains of Eastern Kentucky, where he prepared food for and fed 80 families in Wolfe County every week.
Survivors include three daughters, Amity Jones, Linda Jones Svec (James), and Donna Jones; a half-sister, Duretta Razorr; grandchildren Sara Jones, John Soto, Marc Jones, Gabriella Soto, Amethyst Soto, Joseph Svec, Jamie Svec, Abigail Norton, and Deanne Norton; along with 12 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direcion of Rogers Funeral Home and no services are planned at this time. Contributions in Dwain's memory are suggested to Bethany Christian Mission, 17 Bethany Link Road, Campton, KY 41301.
