To the family and friends of Mr. Powe always cherish the fond memories of time spent together and although you may grieve the Bible can be a source of comfort. At (Revelation 21:3,4) it speaks of a time when there will be no more sickness or death, also at (Acts 24:15) it speaks of a resurrection that we all can look forward to. May the peace and love of the God of all comfort be with you all. Comfort can be found in our Creator through prayer and through his word the Bible and in our Savior Jesus Christ.

Remembering Ed, a gentleman with a gentle soul whose intelligence was surpassed only by his selflessness. His humor lightened our days at KSU and shared wisdom deepened them. The fond memories of him triumphantly playing Bid Whitz will forever be treasured. Prayers for his family during this painful time - may they find comfort and strength in the embrace of the Lord's infinite love.

It is with deep regret that I share the news of Ed Poe's passing. My esteemed colleague from Kentucky State University was an admirable mentor and a strong believer in all the programs we developed there. His thoughtful disposition made lasting impact. My heartfelt condolences are with his family and beloved ones during this challenging time.

The memories I have of Mr. Powe are on a more personal level. He is my best friend's father. When I look at pictures of, or think about Mr. Powe I see one word: kiddo. He consistently called Kristie "kiddo." To hear him call her "kiddo" brings back the nostalgia of my childhood, growing up with the Powe family. Mr. Powe was always around somewhere in the house. Hearing "kiddo" means as much to me as hearing Jan Powe say "Toby." I will miss those words, in those voices from now to eternity.
