Obituary of Allan Alsip

A celebration of life gathering for Allan Franklin Alsip will be held on Sunday, June 25th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Woman's Club of Frankfort, 200 Washington Street. Allan passed away on June 8th at the age of 84. Allan was the son of the late Joe and Velma Hill Alsip of Whitley County. After graduating from Eastern Kentucky University, he settled in Frankfort where he worked for the Kentucky Department of Corrections, Department of Local Governments, and City of Frankfort, before retiring from the Legislative Research Commission. Allan was a member of the Elks Club of Frankfort, the Frankfort Orchid Society, and the Frankfort Arts Society, where he also served as President. He is survived by his long-time life partner Susan Turner as well as many cousins and close friends.
