Obituary of Clifford Pruitt

James Clifford Pruitt, 94, passed away at his home on April 29, 2023, surrounded by his family.
Born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on February 4, 1929, he was the son of the late Thomas Wesley Pruitt and Delpha Jane Renner Pruitt. Cliff spent his life farming, and also worked as a bus driver and in manufacturing at Jackson Chair before retiring from Whirlpool. He loved to spend time with his family, go fishing, and play cards, and was a member of Doctors Fork Baptist Church.
Cliff was the loving husband of the late Mildred Jean Bullock Pruitt and the father of Wesley Pruitt (Toni) of Perryville, Jenny Reynolds (John) of Louisville, and the late William “Bill” Pruitt (Marlene) of Perryville. He is also survived by a brother, Tommy Pruitt, of Ohio; grandchildren Marty Pruitt (Alicia), Jason Pruitt (Danielle), Bobby Reynolds (Rebecca), Elizabeth Reynolds Foushee (Alex), Suzanne Reynolds Ingram (Matt), Timothy Reynolds (Doherty), Mollie Pruitt Lanham (Owen), and Benjamin Pruitt (Tori); great-grandchildren Zakary Pruitt, Austen Pruitt, Lucas McCain, Ethan Pruitt, William Pruitt, John Denton Reynolds, Clara Reynolds Garber (Ben), Moses Reynolds, Reagan Foushee, Collins Foushee, Maria Ingram, Max Ingram, Seth Ingram, Olivia Reynolds, Callan Reynolds, Chase Lanham, Trent Lanham, Nikki Lanham Pennington (Josh), Lane Lanham, Lola Lanham, Ellie Pruitt, and Carter Pruitt; and great-great-grandson Grady Pennington.
Along with his wife Jean and son Bill, he was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jennifer Rebecca Reynolds; a sister, Lucille Mason; and brothers Clarence, Ray, Bill, and L.E..
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 4th at 11:00 am at Doctors Fork Baptist Church in Perryville, with burial following in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday, May 3rd from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and Thursday, May 4th from 9:30 to 11:00 am.
