Nancy Nicol Rhody, wife of Donald N. Rhody, passed away on April 26, 2023 at the age of 82.
Born in Frankfort on June 18, 1940, Nancy was the daughter of the late James Dowling Nicol and Mary Lusse Nicol. Following graduation from Frankfort High School, she attended Stephens College and then graduated from the University of Kentucky, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
Nancy worked as a social worker and claims reviewer for Ky. State Government, and was a member of the Frankfort Younger Women's Club and South Frankfort Presbyterian Church.
Nancy is survived by her husband Don; a daughter, Beth Powers (Scott); a son, Matthew Rhody (Lisa); and three grandchildren, Aidan Rhody, Whitney Powers, and Will Powers. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Dowling Ueltschi.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rogers Funeral Home. The family will hold a private service officiated by Rev. Marian Taylor.
Honorary bearers will be Aidan Rhody, Will Powers, Christian Moore, Daniel Moore, and Rob Ueltsci.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the South Frankfort Presbyterian Church.
