I knew Roger from the time he was about 13 years old. His mother and my father were flea marketers. Roger and I met while learning the fine art of flea marketing at the original Sam's Truck Stop in Nicholasville. Later, we met again while we both worked at the KSP Records Section. He was a fingerprint technician, I was a Secretary/Time Keeper/Data Entry Operator. Roger left State Government, attended law school, received his law degree, and was a lawyer until his retirement from the work-a-day world.
He was devoted to his mother and cared for her at the end of her life.
Roger was a fine man and a dear friend. He will certainly be missed.
