Obituary of Mary Creech

Mary H. Creech passed away peacefully in the presence of her family at her home on her Franklin County farm in the early hours of Sunday morning February 5, 2023. She is survived by her four sons, Tom (Mary Ellen) of Garner, NC, Mark, John, and Eddie. Her son Mike (Carrie, Lexington, KY) preceded her in death. Mary spent her childhood on Line Fork Creek in Letcher County, KY before marrying her husband Burley Creech who was also from Letcher County. They were married for 63 years until he passed away in 2005. Her life was a life well spent, raising their five sons and the most beautiful vegetable gardens imaginable, all while keeping all things spotlessly clean and impeccably organized. In her later years she enjoyed collecting and dealing in antiques, and had many fans and friends in the business. A time of visitation will be held at Rogers Funeral Home from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 9th. Burial will take place on Friday in the family cemetery on Line Fork Creek in Letcher County, KY.
