I felt it a privilege to work beside Marion. We worked together on some legislation at the same time that LBGTQ+ rights & legislation were being discussed. We often sat in the gallery to watch the KY legislators at work. Marion knew everyone, and as we sat there, she put her arm around me to get my attention & to tell me something. As she did so, a prominent legislator, yelled, "Marion, I didn't know! Is she your partner?" We laughed for years. Her laugh is what I want to remember.

I feel so. privileged to have known Marion and called her a friend. She was such a vivacious, intelligent and caring person. Her family was her delight and her pride. I know you will miss her dearly. Please accept my sincere condolences.

I loved Marion. She was a great friend and co-worker. She was intelligent, witty and right down hilarious at times. I always enjoyed our times together. She once told me a story about hearing something in the chimney. Bernie told her it was her imagination. She said she walked back to their family room to take another look and yelled back to Bernie that it may be her imagination but if it was, it was staring straight at her. (It was a squirrel). They were such a great couple. As Bernie before her, Marion will surely be missed. My deepest condolences to her children and grandchildren. She was so proud of each and every one of you.

The first time I met Mrs.G was my first visit to Kentucky. I was going to the Derby with Steve and some other friends , we walked in and she had that great smile she has and gave a hug to each of us, and then cooked a us a country breakfast, it was amazing. Since then I’ve seen her throughout the years and each time the smile, warmth and so welcoming. I will miss that, but will always remember that smile and kindness
