Obituary of Alice Wunderlich

Alice Hardesty Wunderlich, 95, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022. Born in Louisville on July 6, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Mary Hardesty and the widow of Robert A. Wunderlich, and was preceded in death by a son, Robert A. Wunderlich Jr. She is survived by a son, Thomas V. Wunderlich (Angie); five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Roberta H. Gray of Frankfort and Mary Lee Fischer of Louisville; and many nieces and nephews. Alice was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and served on the Liturgy and decorating committees. She served on the Boards of Hospice of the Bluegrass, Frankfort Habilitation, and Red Cross; served at Frankfort Regional Medical Center as a volunteer and director of volunteers for 38 years; and was active in the Franklin Co. Habitat for Humanity. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered in the Good Shepherd Cathoic Church at 12:00 pm Tuesday, September 27th with visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in the Frankfort Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
