I want to take this opportunity to say what a privilege and blessing it was to work with Phyllis at the Kentucky Retirement Systems and how truly saddened I was to learn of her passing. I lost my father on December 21, 2012. He was buried on December 26th, the day between Christmas and and my 50th birthday. Returning to work was the hardest thing I had ever done. But there was Phyllis! Upon seeing me on my first day back, she approached with her warm, infectious smile and open arms. It was the best hug ever! She was more than a co-worker; she was a friend in the truest sense of the word. I feel honored to have known her. What a blessing it must have been to call her mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin! May God's peace, comfort and blessings be with the entire family in the days ahead. Brian Patrick Sharp

I have such sweet memories of Phyllis, when I moved in from out of state, she was my neighbor & welcomed me with open arms, even after we moved to new places we still communicated & visited, until she moved back to Kentucky. She was a beautiful woman with a beautiful heart, i pray for peace & comfort for Gary & Stephanie, knowing she will be greatly missed.

I worked with Phyllis from October 2012 through her retirement at Kentucky Retirement Systems. I truly miss talking with her. She was a joy to be around. Prayers for the family.
