Dear Annie,
How much fun did we have those many years ago boating and waterskiing on Lake Erie? Those playful, worry-free days were so special. All we had to endure was an endless supply of sweet Dad’s/Uncle Les’s bad jokes! We sure did bask in the unconditional love that surrounded us there, didn’t we?
I will miss your beautiful smile and unique sense of humor, Annie. I will miss your compassion and ability to commiserate with others’ pain. Your big heart was open and available to love and care, and that love was powerful.
I expect you are in heaven rejoicing with all our loved ones. Hope you’re still wearing that gorgeous red lipstick . Expect you to be dancing. Maybe you’re waterskiing? Just don’t you dare get better than me.
I hope to hold you hand as we double ski behind Dad’s boat again one day. Until then, we will keep you close to our hearts and work to stay strong without you.
