Lois "Carl" Grubbs, Jr., 75, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2021.
Carl was born in Frankfort on May 10, 1945, and attended Thornhill Elementary School, Bald Knob School, and Franklin County High School. He was an Army veteran and also served as a member of the Air Naval Reserves at Annapolis and a Sergeant in the Kentucky National Guard. He was retired from his work in Maintenance for Ky. State Government.
Carl attended Evergreen Baptist Church and North Frankfort Baptist Church, and enjoyed playing guitar, hiking, travelling, woodworking, fishing, pool (billiards), and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his daughter Carla Lee (Grubbs) Davis; a sister Licia (Lathrem) McCarty; brothers Clark Lathrem and Michael Lathrem; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Lee (Vaught) Grubbs; his parents, Lois Grubbs, Sr. and Irene (Murphy) Lathrem; his son, Christopher Michael Grubbs; a sister, Gala (Lathrem) Hollon; a brother, Lonnie Lathrem; and his step-father, Gayle Lathrem.
