Obituary of Phillip Kevin Robinson

In Loving Memory of Phillip Kevin Robinson Phillip Kevin Robinson, lovingly known as Kevin, "G-Daddy," and "Uncle Billy D.," passed away on June 26, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on March 21, 1959, in Frankfort, Kentucky, Kevin lived a life filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. Kevin never met a stranger. He was known for his warm smile, big hugs and kisses, signature ponytail, and a personality that could light up any room. He loved fishing, playing Tonk, cooking (and letting everyone know the right way to do it), caring for his plants, dancing, and spending time with the people he loved. He loved cutting up with his family, giving everyone a hard time, and making people laugh. If you knew Kevin, you also knew one thing—you couldn't tell him nothing because he was always right. Above all else, Kevin loved his family. His greatest joy was being "G-Daddy" to his grandchildren and spending time with his children, siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends. He accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized alongside his sister, Leanna, at First Corinthian Baptist Church by Reverend King. He was also a proud member of the Old Skoo Club. Kevin leaves behind his daughter, Kanaya Elizabeth Robinson; his son, Kevin Eugene Robinson (Jodie); his cherished grandchildren, Kevin James and Josslyn Christine; his siblings, Eugene "Chick" Robinson (Joan), Leanna Robinson, Ralph Robinson (Yolanda), and Nita Robinson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends; and his special friend, Jean Pettway. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Irene Robinson, and his sisters, Wanda Robinson and Tina Robinson. Kevin's laughter, his hugs and kisses, his contagious smile, and his larger-than-life personality will be deeply missed but forever remembered. While our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the gift of knowing him and for the countless lives he touched simply by being Kevin. A service celebrating Kevin’s life will be held at First Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church on Friday, July 3rd at 1:00 pm with visitation beginning at 11:00 am.
