Kristen Kay Thomas, 30, of Frankfort, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026 at Albert B. Chandler Hospital in Lexington, KY. Born on April 18, 1996 to Linda and Richard Thomas, she lived a much too short life characterized by great joy, good humor and compassion for others. This compassion continued through her contribution to the organ donation program.
Kristen graduated from Western Hills High School in 2015. She is deeply missed by her parents, sister Alanna Blum (Chris), fiancée Matt Short, mother-in-law Lillice Hartley, sister-in-law Misty Stucker (Mike), niece Grace Stucker, nephew Michael Stucker, special grandmother Carrie Bemiss, and numerous cousins.
Visitation will be from 12:00 - 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 25th at Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church with a celebration of life beginning at 2:00 PM.
The Adulting Sunday School class will serve as pallbearers and honorary pall bearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Cinderella's Closet, c/o Memorial Baptist Church, 130 Holmes Street, Frankfort, KY 40601.
